Victory are now just two points adrift of City, who were held to a 1-1 draw against Western United on Friday night.
Glory were reduced to 10 players in the 60th minute when Tijan McKenna was sent off.
McKenna was already on a yellow card when she charged in and cut down Alex Chidiac.

Her send-off came just after Glory had made a double substitution, but the visitors fought on from the setback and even managed to create some promising chances from that point on.
Glory are seven points adrift of sixth spot, and have 12 matches remaining to launch a major turnaround.
Clear-cut chances were few and far between in the first half.
Glory's Megan Wynne and Victory's Claudia Bunge were both lucky not to receive yellow cards for their heated clash in the 32nd minute.
Wynne tripped up Bunge by grabbing at her opponent's ankle.
When Wynne got up, she was pushed over by Bunge.
Victory used the ensuing free kick to set up their goal, with Glory defender Natalie Tathem's poor clearing header landing in the lap of Morrison.
Morrison tapped the ball down to herself before immediately launching a beautiful strike that hit the underpart of the crossbar and rebounded in.

Earning a corner in the final minute before half-time, Sofia Christopherson's header hit the left post and deflected off Khamis.
Western Sydney tried to rally, edging the hosts 12 shots to 11, but were wasteful with their opportunities.
Canberra walk away with the three points after avoiding a 2-0 defeat to Sydney in their abandoned mid-week fixture due to lightning.
Western Sydney remain at the bottom of the league in 12th and extended their winless streak to six matches, which includes three losses on the trot.
