On the field, Aloisi, out of contract at season's end but in discussions with United, has a team filled with youngsters sitting second on the table and attempting to chase down leaders Auckland FC.
The Socceroos great has never hidden his ambition to coach at the highest possible level, especially to go overseas, like contemporaries Kevin Muscat and Tony Popovic.
He has also been floated as a potential option for the vacant Matildas head coach job, though he doesn't have experience in women's football.
"Even for my name to be associated with such a big role like that, that's exciting," Aloisi said on Friday.
"But there's always going to be speculation. I'm not going to go too much into it.
"My contract is up, there's jobs available, there's jobs around. I'm sure that there will be people thinking that I might be right for certain jobs.
"But at the moment my full focus is on what I'm doing here with Western United. We've got five games to go, an important game tomorrow, and that's all my focus is on at the moment."
AAP understands highly-credentialed women's football coach Joe Montemurro, currently at Lyon, remains the top candidate.
Aloisi is also prepared to stay put, if the right deal can be made.
"If the right opportunity comes, it's definitely something that I'll look at," he told AAP.
"But again, if I sign here, it's because I want to be here. If an opportunity comes and I go overseas, it has to be the right one, because I don't want to just go for the sake of it.
"But yeah, ambitions-wise, that will always be for trying to (reach) the highest level possible. So we'll see."
Aloisi, whose United charges face struggling Perth Glory at Ironbark Fields on Saturday, has turned around the club's culture after Marko Rudan's departure and led them to their only silverware, the 2021-22 championship.
"We've got an open dialogue with John," club chairman Jason Sourasis told AAP.
"He knows exactly where we're at, he knows exactly where the club's heading and where the group's heading, and pretty confident he'll be with us for hopefully many years to come.
"Ultimately, where we're supportive is his growth and development.
"If he gets an opportunity overseas and wants to grow in the future we'll probably support that, because we want the best for all our people, and that's from the players to the coaches.
"Ultimately, if there's a step up in the future, we'll probably be supportive of that, but we want him at our club for as long as he wants to be at our club."
