The hosts were denied a goal in a dramatic scramble in the 24th minute, when Maya McCutcheon's long-range shot and teammate Olivia Fergusson's follow-up both came back off the crossbar.
Mebae Tanaka was next up in line for the 'Nix and her header seemed to have put the ball over the line before Jets defender Tash Prior cleared the threat.

It wasn't until the second half when the visitors restored their lead via Erin Healey.
Under hot pressure from Holly McQueen, Healey sent a cutback into the box from the left wing and freed herself from the Roar defender.
Healey then picked up her own pass to find the back of the net in the 47th minute.
Dawber popped up again in the 72nd minute to settle the matter, putting on the finishing touches of Matilda McNamara's headed pass with a header of her own.
A headed goal from Roar captain Tameka Yallop reduced the deficit but with only two minutes left on the clock, the hosts could not salvage a point.

Central Coast's best chance came in the third minute when Shadeene Evans's attempt at goal sneaked past the foot of Faye Bryson.
Brianna Edwards scrambled to fend off Evans' attack but spilled the ball, allowing Annalise Rasmussen to have her shot.
Luckily for Edwards, Rasmussen sent it straight to her.
Amber Luchtmeijer could've turned the game on its head deep into added time after breaking into open pastures but sent the ball straight to goalkeeper Sarah Willacy.
