With the Sea Eagles losing veteran halfback Daly Cherry-Evans at the end of the season, Luke Brooks is the obvious option to take over the No.7 jersey in 2026.
But just who would replace Brooks in the No.6 jumper is the burning question.
Manly had emerged as one of the front-runners to pinch Galvin after Wests Tigers announced on Monday that he would leave the club at the end of the 2026 season.
Seibold and Galvin also share the same manager in Isaac Moses, but the coach put any such talk to rest on Wednesday, saying they plan on talking with Canberra halfback Jamal Fogarty about a two-year deal first before formally approaching Trbojevic.
"We've had a couple casual conversations around it, but he (Trbojevic) is someone who we could potentially go to," Seibold said.
"Do we move him to six, which he's open to? Or do we go into the marketplace to get an experienced halfback?
"If the club thinks it's in the best interest for him to play six, he would play six.
"My preference is to keep 'Turbo' at fullback.
"He (Galvin) is not available until 2027. We have a couple of really good young halves that we're going to bring through here. We've got a plan in place for the next couple of years.
"Lachlan is 19. We've got some really good kids here who are 17 and 18, like Joe Welsh."
Trbojevic is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but Seibold confirmed he would return next week for Manly's clash against Penrith.
The NSW State of Origin fullback has never played as a half, although he has been a wing and centre.
However, Greg Inglis, Darren Lockyer and Cameron Munster all successfully switched from fullback to five-eighth.
But Seibold is more focused on Manly's clash with St George Illawarra on Thursday as his side welcomes back winger Jason Saab from an ankle sprain.
Manly will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak after leaking 48 points against Melbourne, then falling 24-16 to Cronulla.
The Dragons are riding high having beaten Gold Coast in a classy 38-16 display last Friday.
Seibold will have one eye on young half Lachlan Illias on Thursday night, after initially bringing him to South Sydney in 2018.
"When I was at South Sydney, I actually had a good conversation with Lachlan and his parents about coming to Souths. I really admire him as a young player," Seibold said.
"He's built a really good relationship there with Kyle Flanagan, and they played very well against the Titans last week.
"We've been a little bit off with our attack, and that's been one of our weapons this season."
