* The NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout is known as the Koori Knockout and is held annually
* The first ever Koori Knockout match was held at Camdenville Oval in St Peters in Sydney in 1971
* In 1976 the Knockout was played outside of Sydney for the first time following a win by the Kempsey All Blacks, which kicked off the practice of the winning team hosting the Koori Knockout the following year
* About 30,000 supporters are expected to attend the four-day event over the long weekend
* More than 130 teams will compete in women's, men's and junior categories
* This year's tournament is being held at Tuggerah and hosted by the Newcastle All Blacks
