Cowboys continue Townsville hoodoo over Knights

Key moment: In the 73th minute with the scores locked  at 16-16, Cowboys co-captain Reuben Cotter scored an extraordinary try after the ball had ricocheted off teammate Heilum Luki's leg. It then bounced off Cotter's knee as he went to pick it up. Cotter won the race to the ball with sheer determination to seal the win.

Stat: The Cowboys' win was their ninth in a row in North Queensland stretching back to 2015, with Knights centre Dane Gagai the only survivor from that match. 

What's next: The Cowboys will play Cronulla on Friday night in Sydney in another knockout semi-final. The two sides have met five times in semi-finals, with the Cowboys holding a 3-2 advantage. The season is over for the Knights, who finished in eighth position.
