The Australian share market has continued its downward slide to post its lowest close of the year, as US tariffs fuel global uncertainty.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 dropped 66.7 points, or 0.83 per cent to 8130.4 as it edged toward the daily close, while the broader All Ordinaries sunk 68.5 points, or 0.81 per cent, to 8532.4.
