"You will find around 100 original works, certified by Banksy's Pest Control office. From paintings, stencils, virtual reality galleries, you will be able to see all the artist's work from another perspective and another way," said Andrea Valencia, executive vice president of TBL Live, one of the exhibition organisers.Â
In Villa Adelaida, a house located in the north of Bogota built more than 100 years ago, the graffiti artist's works will be on display until December 31 and that, despite being authentic works, were not authorised by the artist.
Valencia said this is "an unauthorised exhibition" because "part of what Banksy is is that he goes against consumerism".
"However, all of his works are original and certified by the Pest Control office, which is his own and certifies the authenticity of the works," she said.
Despite his anonymity, Banksy is considered one of the most influential urban artists in the world and in 2010 he was included by the prestigious Time magazine in its list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
