What a great game the Lions played this week. Every single player had a role to play and played it well. Grace was dynamite all over the court with strong drives and smart play. Lily and Lara are proving to be a strong force in defence, with many intercepts.
Hollie Mac stepped up from B Grade and shot with accuracy and made a great duo with Steph. The girls bought their A game from start to finish and it was a delight to watch.

Finley 29 defeated by Mulwala 40
The Lions were keen for a win and started the game strong. Cara and Shelly were once again a strong duo in defence, making the shooters work hard for each goal.
Chelsea and Tayla Mac worked hard through the mid court with strong drives and forcing turnovers. This week’s game was a great team effort with everyone celebrating at the ball.

A great game against Finley. The Lions defence worked hard right up to the end with lots of turnovers.
The C Res welcomed Mikayla back from injury and she played a great game in WD.
The little pocket rocket Abbey worked hard in centre, gaining lots of intercepts. Unfortunately Mul didn’t get the win but made Finley earn it with a great team effort.

It was fantastic to watch the girls this week, bringing to the court plays that they have been working on at training.
A solid 4 quarter performance for a fun-loving team. Hannah Riches provided strong drives all day.
Reese Sanderson was strong in defence whilst Milla Fletcher showed great leadership. A tough game for the girls but they never gave up.

Finley 17 defeated by Mulwala 26
A fantastic effort from all of the girls this week to come away with the win against a strong Finley side. Charlotte was amazing in attack, also taking numerous defensive intercepts. Ruby’s hands over pressure for all 4 quarters was a huge part of the defence. Well done girls on a great team effort.

Finley 28 defeated Mulwala 11
The girls had a great battle against Finley. The ball was passed well into the ring and the defence was kept busy. The girls have taken things from the game to work on and improve for the future.

Wonderful game by the girls. The attack end was kept very busy this week. Lucy and Layla worked hard all game, with great passes an encouraging their teammates. The little Lions have really improved and are working well as a team.
