The Year 12 students were among many who had put their names in to become school captains and vice-captains in a senior school election this term.
The election was run the way a regular vote is done, with ballot paper, polling booths and passionate speeches.
Joining the trio on stage were senior school students who were awarded school councillor roles.
During his presentation speech, new captain Heath said he was looking forward to the year ahead.
‘‘This year I will be a good role model for all the students. I will try my best to be a learner, be responsible, be respectful and be safe,’’ he said.
‘‘If you have any problems, please come to me.’’
School senior years unit leader Janine Thorne said the role of the captains was to greet visitors, formally thank donors, present awards during assemblies and represent the school during public events such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
‘‘We are all really proud of our Year 12 students who represent their peers on the student council and are wonderful role models. We are looking forward to an exciting 2019 as students explore pathways to follow when they finish school,’’ Ms Thorne said.
