In her last warm-up event before heading to Flushing Meadows, the world No.73 and ninth seed needed just 73 minutes to defeat China's Xiyu Wang 6-3 6-0 on Thursday night (Friday AEST).
"I played very solid today. I took care of the things I could control. I knew she was a big hitter," Saville said.
"I felt like I served really well, so that helped as well.
"I've had a pretty good season since coming back (from injury), so I'm pretty happy and pretty proud of myself ... and I just want to keep going."
The 28-year-old will play Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk next after the 10th seed beat the last remaining local hope Rebecca Marino 6-2 4-6 6-2.
World No.10 Daria Kasatkina showed why she is the highest ranked player in Quebec, defeating fifth-seeded Spainiard Nuria Parrizas-Diaz 6-3 6-2.
Kasatkina, who is enjoying a career-high ranking, got the job done despite struggling with her serve, committing all nine of the match's double faults.
She will play France's Diane Parry in the semis after she got the better of Germany's Tatjana Maria 6-4 6-7 (6-8) 7-6 (7-4) in a near three-hour tussle.
Meanwhile in Cleveland, Liudmila Samsonova continued her terrific run with a 6-4 6-3 win over Magda Linette of Poland.
The Russian is yet to lose a set at the tournament, but will face her toughest test next when she meets American Bernarda Pera in the last four.
Pera, who previously eliminated top seed Barbora Krejcikova in straight sets, came out on top against compatriot Sofia Kenin 6-2 5-7 6-3.
Eight-seeded French veteran Alize Cornet is also yet to drop a set on her run to the semis, proving too strong for Zhang Shuai, winning 6-4 6-2.
Cornet will play Aliaksandra Sasnovich for a place in the decider after the Belarusian saw off Madison Brengle of the US, 6-4 6-1.
