With more than 150 stalls marketing a vast array of high-quality goods, crafts, produce, clothes and gift items at great prices, thousands of visitors will flock to the town for this year’s market.
All items for sale are homemade, home-grown, home-produced or new.
Universally regarded as one of the best bush markets in regional Victoria, it will take place from 9am to 2.30pm, and the small town will come alive with people attending from across Victoria and interstate.
Oxley Hall Committee secretary Janet Heath said 2023 would see many new, unique and varied goods on sale from “first-time” vendors.
“Around 50 of this year’s stallholders are new to our market, so everyone will certainly find something different from other years while still visiting their regular favourites,” Ms Heath said.
“The market is a vibrant day, with entertainment for all ages.
“Gourmet foods, drinks and toe-tapping music will all add to the festive atmosphere.
“Most people come to take advantage of the specials on offer, while others simply enjoy the atmosphere and meet up with old friends.”
Ms Heath said many worthy charities also attended the market, so visitors could show their support for these groups while wandering around and enjoying the day.
“I would stress the event is in full swing until 2.30pm, with the monster community raffle being drawn from around 1.30pm,” she said.
Dogs are not permitted due to the large crowds (guide dogs excepted), but the Oxley Fire Brigade will run a ‘doggie creche’ at the front of the hall.
