More than 1500 participants, officials, families and visitors will attend the October 8 to 10 event.
The state event follows in the footsteps of the 2019 BMX National Championships and the 2020 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, which were held at the Shepparton BMX track.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said the region continued to lead the way as the sporting event capital.
“Our region excels in many sports and BMX and cycling is one of the many we enjoy returning to our region, seeing athletes and visitors fill our streets, staying in our accommodation venues and visiting our local businesses, cafes, retail shops, attractions and experiencing our services,” O'Keeffe said.
“This is a great opportunity for our locals to see and compete against some of the state's and nation’s best riders, at a world-class facility right in their own backyard.
“As we continue to secure these major events in our region it only strengthens our status as the regional sporting event capital of Australia and council will continue to support the facilities and groups that assist in attracting these events which bring great visitor numbers to our region and support our local visitor economy.”
The 2021 Victorian State BMX Championships will be held from October 8 to 10 at the Shepparton BMX track, 96 Packham St, Shepparton.
