Successful Aussie Hoops season finishes

The Aussie Hoops basketball season wrapped up last week for 2022 with excellent participation numbers in the popular program.

“It’s great to see the kids getting back into sport and enjoying their basketball,” Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Association President and Aussie Hoops Co-ordinator Amanda Wheaton said.

“Our Aussie Hoops basketball development program for Grade Prep’s and One’s has been as popular as ever this year.

“It’s such a great way for the younger kids to start to get a basketball in their hands and learn some of the rules and skills of the game. It really puts them ahead when it comes time to playing games in our under 10 competition.

“Our coaches have done an amazing job and you can really see how the kids have improved. There was lots of fun over the season, and it has been really exciting in the last few weeks to watch the players in action in game situations, showcasing their skills and improvement.
