Nomination categories range from junior coaches (under-12 or below), youth coaches (under-13 to under-18), female coaches and senior coaches.
Winning coaches will be announced each month, with the monthly winners to pocket a $100 voucher from Barooga Sporties.
The number one coaches from each month will go in the running to claim the Coach of the Year award, with a $500 voucher handed to the winner.
AFLGM has already announced Avenel's Kasey Duncan and Tongala's Jordan Souter as the April and May winners of the senior coach award.
Avenel and Tongala are undefeated this year.
AFLGM football development manager Daniel Preston said the two playing coaches were rewarded for their efforts in the role.
“Our senior Barooga Sporties COTM winners Kasey Duncan (Avenel) and Jordan Souter (Tongala) were acknowledged for their commitment to their roles, strong communication skills and their ability to build strong relationships with their players and other members of the club and community,” Preston said.
“Both are credited for their capacity to create effective training sessions with a game sense approach that has correlated to strong team performances on game day.”
Meanwhile, Andrew Hudson from Central Saints and Tatura's Graham Briggs clinched the April junior and youth awards, respectively.
And the May awards went the way of Leitchville-Gunbower's Blaise Ryan and Moama's Bailey Grubb.
Preston highlighted the attributes needed to be recognised for the junior and youth coach awards.
“Nominations received for these respective winners had glowing endorsements from parents, clubs and leagues,” he said.
“These coaches are able to build strong connections with their players, create a fun, engaging and inclusive environment for their players.
“Other notable characteristics is their passion, enthusiasm, commitment and positivity when working with their young players.”
