An event not for the faint-hearted is coming to Shepparton next month.
There Goes the Neighbourhood, an 18-plus professional wrestling event, will take place at Shepparton Showgrounds on Saturday, July 16.
After two recent sold-out events in Geelong, as well as a string of highly popular events in Ballarat and Melbourne, the event is starting to attract big crowds in the regions in 2022.
The event boasts some of the biggest names in professional wrestling.
Deathmatch Downunder heavyweight champion ‘The Snuff King’ GORE headlines the event, with Nepalese debutant Unika, Geelong’s Edward Dusk and Queensland’s Kyla Knight also due to take to the ring.
Deathmatch Downunder co-founder and 20-year veteran Joel Batemen will also be in action after a recent tour of the US.
Head promoter Jay Stevens said it was a thrill to be bringing professional wrestling events back to regional communities.
“Professional wrestling has long been an integral part of Victoria's thriving entertainment industry,” he said.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be in the throes of live events this year. We are all champing at the bit to provide the best entertainment we can for regional and dedicated professional wrestling fans once again."
