Shepparton United has extended its lead at the top of the Goulburn Valley League 17-and-under netball ladder. The Demons remain unstoppable this season, defeating Tatura 55-31 on Saturday to snare their 13th win from as many starts. Isabella Amodio, Charlotte Keady and Alice Clurey were the stars for the home side at Deakin Reserve, while Eliza Pyke, Lucy Somers and Elsie Boyer battled hard for the Bulldogs. Echuca and Seymour played out a 36-all draw to highlight how close this years finals series will be. The Murray Bombers were just one goal up at the final break, but could not hold on to take all four points from the contest. Lara Judd was a standout with 11 intercepts for Echuca, with Chloe Stone and Jayde Evans also impressive. Olivia Barry, Rani Curry and Ruby Martin were brilliant for the Lions. The Shepparton Swans had a big win against Benalla, taking the chocolates 54-17. Sophie Kamenjarin, Ruby Ryan and Emmerson Pedretti did the damage for the Swans, while Jess Calvert, Hannah McIntosh and Phoebe Howard stood out for the Saints. Mooroopna was also in complete control against Mansfield, racking up a 60-23 triumph. The Cats were best served by Jasmine Emery, Claudia McKenzie and Ayva Moore, while the Eagles were buoyed by the performances of Grace Hood, Chloe Rekers and Charlotte Howie. Shepparton just ousted Kyabram in a 42-40 result, giving the Bears a three-game buffer over the Bombers on the ladder. Rochester claimed victory in the other match this round, defeating Euroa 55-23.
