The construction of a new play space has been completed on Oxbow Ave in River Rise Estate, Shepparton.
Residents of the area approached Greater Shepparton City Council in 2020 with the idea after identifying the need for playgrounds in the community.
The project was prioritised by council in 2021 and was opened to families in mid-April this year.
The play space features natural elements, with large rocks, a log balance beam and sandpit, as well as a swing set and slide.
“The residents of Oxbow Ave petitioned council for this play space and we’re proud to be able to deliver it to the community,” council infrastructure director Gary Randhawa said.
“We hope the play space will be enjoyed for years to come.”
