Designed by Victorian artist Charlie Ryan, Shepparton's billboard is one of thousands of displays to have been rolled out across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Ballarat, Geelong, Warrnambool, Wangaratta and Traralgon as part of the "V for Victori" campaign.
Started in response to Victoria's punishing second lockdown last August, the not-for-profit project gained wide popularity and quickly spread through traditional print and advertising spaces across the nation and into the regions.
The logo upcycles Winston Churchill’s ‘V for Victory’ and the peace sign of the 1960s.

“It is something to remind us that we’re all in this together. Something that can say I love you and I hope for us as we stay apart, together,” Mr Ryan said.
Shepparton's billboard has been live since June 28, and is set to stay for the foreseeable future as a reminder of hope and solidarity throughout the pandemic's many hurdles.
“We’re living through an extraordinary period of hardship and uncertainty,” Mr Ryan said.
“In the face of ongoing negativity, I wanted to create a campaign that could celebrate our unified states and territories and the resilience found in each unique local community.
“It is something to remind us that we’re all in this together. Something that can say I love you and I hope for us.”
● Donated by Total Outdoor Media, the billboard's alternating artwork is on permanent display alongside paid advertising at 195 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Shepparton.
