The Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga announced the end of year closure in August due to low enrolment numbers.
It will end a 120 year Catholic education history in Berrigan.
Current and former students and staff are invited to attend the celebration, as well as the wider community.
The school will be open to the public with historical displays and information from 12.30pm to 3.30pm for self guided tours, and a mass of celebration will start at 4pm, followed by formal speeches.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, numbers will be strictly limited and expressions of interest to attend the day are required.
The school will close at the end of this school year.
The diocese said with only seven students at the school in 2020, across Years 1 to 6, keeping the school open was unsustainable.
St Columba’s principal Helene Cahill said the school has received supportive feedback from the community since its closure was announced.
‘‘Although saddened, everyone knew that it was inevitable and were grateful the diocese had been able to support us for so long,’’ she said.
Efforts are now being made to ensure the school facilities can be retained for community use, especially given renovations were only completed two years ago.
