Santa’s elves (the teachers) were waiting at the drop-off area to give each student a candy cane as they arrived at school for a day of Christmas-themed activities.
In the lead up to Christmas, the school held a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workshop where the students learned about sugar gliders.
They crafted model gliders and made Christmas cards which contained a sugar glider fact to give their families.

Shepparton’s Archer St Woolworths is also sponsoring the raffle with a food hamper and a coffee machine.
The raffle draw will be streamed live on Facebook.
To get into the festive spirit, staff decorated the classrooms and have introduced a variety of Christmas characters that Ms Higgins said perform different “cheeky” things every night before the children arrive the next day.
One night, Pig the Pug and his mates rounded up all the elves and tied them up with tinsel for when the children arrived.

Because of the disruptions from remote learning this year, teachers are still trying to squeeze in as much learning as possible before the end of the school term.
However, students could expect Santa to Zoom call in for a virtual Christmas workshop.
