This follows yesterday’s scheduled IREC event who conducted a Cotton Growing Innovation – Farm Walk from 9am to 10.30am at Stott Farming, Farm 1710, Whitton Rd, Whitton.
The group had an opportunity to see cotton growing innovation in action with the Trial Focus around Cotton sown in a double skip row formation with furrows every 4 metres.
This setup uses half the area typically required and aims to determine if water usage can be reduced by 50 per cent.
Attendees got to hear from local farmer Dallas Stott about this approach with free morning tea provided.
