More than 100 firefighters and four helicopters responded to a fire that burned about 85 hectares of land near Nagambie on Monday, February 14.
CFA commander Rohan Taylor said the authority was first called to the scene at Mullers Rd about 3pm, after a piece of machinery caught alight in a paddock.
Crews managed to control the blaze in about two-and-a-half hours and the scene was declared under control about 5.30pm.
CFA firefighters and Forest Fire Management Victoria teams continued to patrol the area after the fire was under control to monitor small spot fires and smoke in the area, Mr Taylor said.
A community alert sent out via the VicEmergency app announced the fire was safe at 10.16am on Tuesday, February 15.
