Shepparton theatre group Initial Stages present its first and final performances of the year, and ever. The group is raising the curtain for the final three times with its performance of the hit musical Chicago. Taking place at Riverlinks WestSide, Echuca Rd, Mooroopna on Friday night at 7.30pm, and Saturday with two performances, a matinee at 2pm and evening show at 7.30pm, this is one not to miss. Rev your engines and get ready for this year’s Spring Car Nationals! Motorheads gather at Shepparton Showgrounds to celebrate the 28th SpringNats running over three jam-packed days, Friday 5pm to 10pm, Saturday 9am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 5pm. Australia’s first naked carnival
Club Rawhide is ringing in the new year in the best way possible, hosting a car park party at its 3 Hoskin Street, Shepparton location. Music, a water slide and a merry-go-round are only a smidge of what’s on the agenda. Running from 3pm, limited tickets are available on the door for $30 or deluxe tickets are $40. Head down to Western Park, Tom Collins Dve at Shepparton’s Victoria Park Lake to get involved in Qigong, an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing and movement exercises. The free event will run from 9am to 10am; register via Eventbrite.

Bit young for SpringNats? Don’t fret, this free council-run activity has you covered with human-powered go-karting in the massive 18m x 10m inflatable track! These amazing go-karts are a means to experience the adrenaline rush associated with racing. Karts cater for kids aged three to 12 years. Taking place at the Village Green on Kialla Lakes Dve, Kialla from 10am to noon, make sure to register online through Eventbrite so as not to miss out.
