The village held its Lone Pine service on Thursday, April 24, beneath the towering Aleppo pine tree.
The service is an annual prelude to Anzac Day for residents who may not be able to make it to official ceremonies.
It holds significance for resident Alwyn Drysdale, widow of Bob ‘Lone Pine’ Drysdale, whose legacy lives on through the Aleppo pine he planted, now a cherished backdrop for Anzac and Remembrance Day services across the Kyabram district.
Warramunda chief executive officer John Clark said the Lone Pine had become a central event for residents.

“Given that Alwyn is a resident here, we feel strongly connected to the story of the Lone Pine, which of course originated at Gallipoli and has been kept alive in our region through the work of her late husband Bob and the other members of Kyabram Legacy,” he said.
Five residents at Warramunda receive vital support from Kyabram Legacy, an organisation dedicated to assisting local widows of veterans since World War I.
Warramunda’s Lone Pine ceremony was led by Legatee Gwen James and also featured readings and presentations by Graeme James, Max Webster, Gavon Armstrong, Don Cook, Peter Fitzgerald, Ross Coombs and John Lilford.
The service also featured readings from Kyabram P-12 College captains Chloe Heald and Ruby Phillips.
Mr Clark emphasised that the captains' involvement was crucial in bridging generations, ensuring the Anzac spirit endures from past to present and into the future.
