The Shepparton Harness Racing Club is proud to host its annual Pacing For Pink fundraising event on Sunday, May 4, in support of the McGrath Foundation’s mission to ensure that no-one faces breast cancer alone.
Held at the Shepparton Racing Complex, this heartfelt day combines the thrill of harness racing with the power of community spirit, raising awareness and vital funds for breast cancer support.
What to expect:
- Feature races: Don’t miss the Olive Hayes Memorial Lady Drivers Race, proudly sponsored by Senior Drivers Pony Trot, alongside exciting Pony Trots throughout the day.
- Trackside treats: Enjoy delicious food from Nana Maree’s Food Truck, a sausage sizzle by the stables, fresh coffee and refreshing ice cream.
- Free entertainment for all ages: Face painting, jumping castle, Murray Mermaid hair braiding and live music from Chiltern act Overtime Duo.
- Special activities: Pony trots, raffles, silent auction and Bruce’s Shave for a Cause.
Gates open at 11am, with gold coin entry encouraged.
Dress to impress in your finest pink attire for your chance to win fabulous prizes in the Lady of the Day, Young Racegoer, Junior Racegoer and Gent of the Day categories.
The Winning Post Dining Room will host the day’s formalities, featuring state Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe, with special guests Natalie Thomas and Jill Rocchi from the McGrath Foundation.
Dinner tickets are $60 for a delicious two-course meal, with limited tables remaining.
