In a spirited contest against Nathalia on a hot Autumn afternoon, both teams showcased exceptional skill and determination in a game marked by intensity and pace.
The match was a nail-biter from start to finish, with the lead shifting multiple times throughout the game and especially during the thrilling final quarter.
The Rams’ team demonstrated great synergy in the attack, with Keely Mitsch, Makhaya Mitsch, Ella Harvey, and Bonnie Everett building strong connections.
Their patience and precision in passing were instrumental in creating scoring opportunities.
Amelia Seignior was a standout, dominating the court with her versatility in both attack and defence.
Her leadership and experience once again proved invaluable, guiding the team through high-pressure moments.
Defensively, Ella Park, Eve Gregor, and Emma Parks worked tirelessly, showcasing resilience and commitment against a relentless Nathalia attack.
Their efforts ensured that we stayed competitive in the game’s most challenging phases.
However, fatigue began to take its toll in the final quarter, and unforced errors crept into our play.
Nathalia capitalised on these mistakes, demonstrating sharp decision-making and determination to secure the win.
While the result didn’t go the Rams’ way, the team can take pride in the effort and connections displayed on court.
The lessons learned from this match will undoubtedly strengthen the Rams A-grade side for future challenges.
B-grade: Rams 36 def Nathalia 35.
In sweltering conditions, the Rams B-grade side dug deep to claim a thrilling one point win over Nathalia.
It was a tight contest from start to finish, with both teams pushing through the extreme heat.
Smart use of rolling subs kept fresh legs on the court and allowed us to maintain our intensity throughout.
The team’s versatility was on full display, with plenty of positional rotations that proved effective across all four quarters.
It was a true team effort, setting the tone for what looks to be a promising season.
A special mention goes to Katie Arandt, who was an absolute showstopper in defence, relentless, composed, and game-changing.
A gutsy win and a strong foundation to build on.

C-grade: Deni Rams 24 def by Nathalia 41.
It was tough match for the Rams’ C-grade with two mid-court players away.
It was a great opportunity to play out some different player dynamics on court, which was exciting to see.
The Rams’ defenders worked tirelessly all game with a relentless opposition, with Jade Hussey providing plenty of turnovers.
Bella White proved her ability to be flexible and was impressive both in WA and her time in the goal circle.
Eliza Atley was given her second well deserved award for the season, setting up key opportunities for goals as GS.
The C-grade side greatly appreciated the support of under-17s players Aysha Mitsch and Molly Bradley who were happy to have a second run.
They were integral additions to the team.

C-Reserve: Deni Rams 25 def by Nathalia 45.
The Rams’ C-Reserve showed plenty of promise in one of their first outings for the season, going down 25 to 45 in tough, hot conditions over the weekend.
Despite the loss, the team’s effort and energy were standout features, with players digging deep and supporting one another right across the court.
There were positive passages of play in both attack and defence, and plenty of grit shown through all four quarters.
Weekly awards went to three standout players.
Carla Crossley took home the Decentralized Demountable award for her tireless work in both centre and defence, putting in a full-court effort from start to finish.
Remy Henderson impressed with her second-effort plays and ability to get clean intercepts when it counted.
Lucy Dudley was rewarded for her consistent positioning and her presence across the court, always providing an option and supporting her teammates.

Under-17s: Deni Rams 60 def Nathalia 31.
In very hot conditions, the Rams under-17s netballers came out firing.
The girls were strong in the first quarter with some impressive defensive pressure from Aysha Mitsch which resulted in numerous mid-court turnovers.
Georgia Henderson was also effective in a new look defensive line up, taking to her role with determination.
Transition through the mid-court was made with speed and precision, helped along by our 100-gamer Molly Bradley.
All in all, it was a comfortable game for the Rams and safe to say the girls were well and truly exhausted by the heat at the game's end.

Under-15: Deni Rams 14 def by Nathalia 35.
A tough game for the girls who worked tirelessly in hot conditions.
The team worked hard to maximise all opportunities throughout the game.
Bella Hillier and Sophie Tritton combined well together in defence, working hard to create turnovers and strong drives into the mid-court.
Arielle Hillier created space and shot accurately in the goal ring.

Under-13s: Deni Rams 14 def by Nathalia 18.
The Rams’ under-13s played a great team game against Nathalia.
From the first whistle, the game was flowing at a fast pace.
Nathalia’s defenders were playing a tight game on shooters Killarni Macdonald and Aleaha Leetham which called for the girls to adjust their playing style to get possession and convert.
Killarni and Aleaha adjusted their game beautifully and took some great rebounds in the second half.
Lexi Maher and Charlotte Gatacre moved the ball down the mid-court and fed the shooters with precision and speed, supported by Aysha Bartlett and Stevie Williams in WD.
Chloe Marshall and Sophie Bliss worked well together in defence, creating scoring opportunities with turnovers.
At three-quarter time, the Rams’ girls were down by eight goals and managed to have a great fourth quarter, only going down to Nathalia by four points.

Under-11s: Not scored.
The Rams under-11s put on a fantastic performance against Nathalia in hot conditions.
All the girls played really well, using the channels effectively to move the ball down the court and working hard to come forward and support each other.
In attack, Isla Moodie, Indi Hillier, Stella Butcher and Claire Menadue combined beautifully, creating space and converting plenty of goals.
Defensively, Aysha Bartlett, Stevie Williams and Harriet Maher stood out with numerous intercepts and excellent reading of the play, turning defence into attack time and time again.
The girls’ teamwork was a highlight this week. It was a great team effort all round – well done, girls.
