The Broncos captain scored a magnificent solo try with a chip and chase from 32m to give his side a 26-16 lead in the 45th minute at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.
It was immediately after landing the conversion that he signalled to the bench he needed to come off.
"It just tightened up and I didn't want to risk anything," Reynolds said.
"I will talk to the medical staff tomorrow. I am a pretty positive person. I felt it in the first half and got to half time and assessed it. The good thing is I got through without doing anything serious."
Broncos hitman Brendan Piakura was sin-binned in the 20th minute for a high shot on Tigers prop Terrell May. He was knocked out late in the second half and taken off on a medicab but was laughing and walking around in the sheds afterwards.
Brisbane bench prop Xavier Willison scored a try double in his best game in the NRL.
The match was in the balance when Wests led 12-6 late in the first half before the Broncos clicked into gear.
The halves pairing of Ben Hunt and Reynolds had played 594 games of first grade more than their opposite duo Lachlan Galvin and Latu Fainu, an all-time premiership record.
Galvin, 19, was outstanding for the visitors with his short kicking game crucial in giving the Tigers the lead. It was the boot of Reynolds, combined with a hint of genius, that proved telling in the result. Hunt played his part with a grubber kick for the first of winger Jesse Arthars' two tries.
A Hunt 40/20 was also crucial in gaining Brisbane possession in the second half before the Broncos cut loose.
Fainu's night was cut short in the 49th minute with concussion.
Galvin's riposte to Hunt's inital try assist was exquisite. His own pinpoint grubber was executed to perfection for fellow teenager Luke Laulilii on the wing to score.
Tigers winger Sunia Turuva scored after fullback Jahream Bula split the Broncos in a 55m raid. The Tigers attack was on song when centre Starford Toa burnt opposite number Gehamat Shibasaki to make it 12-6.
The Tigers scored their first-half tries out wide and missed all three attempts with Api Koroisau, Tallyn Da Silva and Adam Doueihi all missing.
Reynolds landed a wonder 42m two-point field goal for the hosts for a 14-12 lead, but it was tries by Willison either side of half-time that hurt Wests.
The Tigers were the better side in the first 40 minutes but the Broncos kicked away in the second half with excellent ball movement and domination of territory.
"I'm really proud of the guys' effort," Tigers coach Benji Marshall said.
"We learnt tonight we have a team where, if we get it right, we can do some good things."
The crowd of 41, 011 was a Brisbane club record for a match against Wests Tigers.
