Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said Erling Haaland could be out of action for up to seven weeks with the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final victory at Bournemouth.

That timeline would put him out of the semi-final against Nottingham Forest at the end of April but he might well be back for the final, should City get there, on 17 May.Â
"The doctors told me between five and seven weeks. So hopefully the end of the season and the Club World Cup he will be ready," said Guardiola, referring to the June 14 to July 13 tournament in the United States.
The Norwegian international had just scored his 30th goal of the season to equalise at Bournemouth when he was hurt in a challenge with Cherries midfielder Lewis Cook.
Guardiola's side, still facing a battle to qualify for next season's Champions League, face matches against Leicester City and Manchester United this week.
