Although there may be fewer clues than in The Da Vinci Code, the Soroptimist International of Shepparton is determined to solve this mystery.
On the morning of Friday, March 22, the first day of managing their charitable sale, group members noticed their sign had been pinched from the corner of Goulburn Valley Hwy and Wilmot Rd in Shepparton.
At the same time, other residents were doing some pinching of their own — penny-pinching, that is.
It was a successful weekend for bargain hunters, featuring hundreds of antiques and collectibles generously donated by local shop owner Bill Collier, who is closing his store at 41 Longstaff St in Shepparton.
The shop will be open again from Friday, March 28 to Sunday, March 30, from 9am to 4pm, with plenty of items still available.
As they prepare for the upcoming weekend, the Soroptimists are eager to recover their missing sign.
