Echuca Regional Health officially received Kagome Australia’s donation of funds raised from the recent Pick a Box event on Friday, March 21.
Kagome Australia chief executive Brad Free presented a large cheque to ERH’s chief executive Robin Lindsay and director of community services Cynthia Robins.
Ms Lindsay said the hospital was truly grateful for the contribution, which will go towards mental health care services at the hospital.
This year’s Pick a Box event saw $4114 raised on the day, which Kagome matched dollar for dollar, bringing the total amount raised to $8228.
Mr Free said he and his team were more than happy to help the hospital, as Kagome’s corporate values aligned with the initiative.
“We choose to proactively engage with fundraising events such as these,” he said.
“Mental health is a real issue, and the team at ERH will put the donation to work immediately.”
Pick a Box has been running for the past decade, and this year’s donation was among the highest in recent years.
