Irish cheer fills Navorina

Irish eyes were smiling when St Patrick’s Day celebrations were held in Deniliquin earlier this week.

Getting into the spirit of the day were staff and residents of Navorina Aged Care.

Communal spaces were adorned with St Patrick’s Day decor, and Irish posters and educational materials.

Everyone was encouraged to wear a touch of green, although there was a Leprechaun hat and other St Patrick’s Day costume items to pass around for those who needed something a little extra.

The catering staff served up a traditional Irish stew with mashed potatoes, and a St Patrick’s Day dessert. A glass or two of Guinness was also enjoyed.
