At the bocce competition on Sunday, an impressive 35 athletes, including seven from the Echuca club, competed.
The event has displayed great growth in recent years, with the 2023 event featuring 12 participants.
Before the event, some athletes participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run with the help of local law enforcement members.
The strong turnout meant the players formed doubles pairings for the competition, and Echuca’s pairings had strong results throughout.
In division one open, Caroline Jones and Kelliane Ludbey combined for second place, while Stephen Rees and Troy Murray took fourth.
Robynne Cleave and Lynne Glashier won the division three open, and in division four open Nicola Dawes and Katrina Delaney were the runners-up.
Athletes, organisers and the gathered support staff and volunteers were very complimentary of the excellent playing surface at Moama Bowling Club and thanked the club for supporting the event.
A day earlier, swimmers were in the spotlight as Riverine Herald photographer Jordan Townrow snapped some of the action from the aquatic centre.
