Green missed the Giants' impressive 52-point drubbing of Collingwood last Sunday but coach Adam Kingsley says the star midfielder proved his fitness at Friday training.
"He got through pretty well, certainly he was moving freely," Kingsley told reporters.
"We were really happy with our performance (last week) obviously but we'll find a spot for Tom, he's a reasonable player for us ... he's itching to go."
The 24-year-old will on Sunday add even more grunt around the packs to the Giants' on-ball brigade who overwhelmed Collingwood last-start.
"He is certainly very strong in that aspect of the game, he will certainly help our first possession numbers," Kingsley said.
"He does win the ball around the stoppages and he actually is very creative with his hands so he releases players as well as getting it himself.
"It's a great position to be in when we can add a player such as him on the back of such a strong performance last week."
Green replaces ruckman Kieren Briggs, who was concussed against the Pies, while forwards Jesse Hogan (thumb) and recruit Jake Stringer (hamstring) will miss another game.
