The Jerilderie branch nominated three students for Phillip Group Education Grants, and were very pleased when they all received a grant each.
President Joy Knight had the honour of attending the local schools to present the grants.
Chelsea Winn was presented with $400, supported by the Mascot Evening branch.
Lincoln Smith and Sahara Conroy both received $250, supported by the Sydney Cit and Phillip Group (special) branches respectively.
More great news was shared at Jerilderie CWA’s first meeting of the year, which had good attendance.
The branch received a grant of its own to install a defibrillator in the meeting room, to be located in the toilet facilities and available 24 hours.
A sign will be displayed to show where it is.

Coming up for the branch is the Murray Group Handicraft and Land Cookery Day, to be held on Thursday, March 13 in Holbrook.
Jerilderie, Berrigan and Finley’s Murray Hut branch are to supply sweets.
Five members from Jerilderie will attend.
