Delivered by the Rotary Club of Deniliquin in partnership with the Edward River Art Society, it brings work from local and district artists to the fore.
Entries are open now, and close Friday, March 14.
The exhibition will open for the Easter weekend, but this year will run for more than four days.
Now will access to the Deniliquin Multi Arts Centre as a permanent exhibition space, ERAS president Lou Graham said the Easter entries can be viewed until Saturday, May 17.
Mrs Graham said she is happy with how preparations are going, and excited about the prospects of the event and what it will bring to the area.
“There are plenty of opportunities for artists locally to win prizes, and the entries are coming in thick and fast.” she said.
The prize pool of $20,000 will be split among a number of categories, as follows:
• Best in Show - $5000;
• Artistic Merit Prize - two prizes worth $2000 each;
• Local Artist Prize (within 50km of Deniliquin)- $1200;
• Local Scene - $1000;
• Youth Artist Prize - $600;
• People’s Choice Award - $500; and,
• Picture Hangers’ Award (voted by volunteer picture hanging team) - $500.
The winner in each of the nine section prizes receive $800 each.
The sections are: mixed media, oil, acrylic, works on paper (wet mediums), works on paper (dry mediums), photography, digital artwork, sculpture, and ceramics and textiles.
As well as being a vehicle to enjoy work from local artists, the art show entries will also be available for sale.
“This show gives the community a good look at the works of local artists right on their doorstep, and reasonably priced,” she said.
“We have high calibre artists here in Deni and the surrounds and the show gives them a chance to display and sell their art.
“For every person interested in art, it gives them a space to enjoy and get excited about.”

The entry fee for small to medium, and 3D artworks is $15 per entry, while larger works incur a fee of $30.
Youth entries are $5 per piece.
