“It’s called Cranium of Curiosities, and it’s basically, if you imagine my head as it has often been described, just full of a load of old nonsense and weird stuff, and then I just open it up and that is presented for people’s delectation and delight,” Noble said.
“There’s just random things that are like floating around in my head and ... my shows are basically just like a conversation and then depending on what happens and then all the ideas collide together and then it all makes sense on the night.”
Noble has long been a staple of the Australian and UK comedy scenes, appearing on TV shows such as Thank God You’re Here. But stand-up remains his true love.
“The thing that I love about doing stand-up, and the reason that stand-up’s like the thing that I do, is because it’s so immediate, and you have complete control,” Noble said.
“The show can be anything I want it to be, and if I think of an idea, I just say it, and so you’re the writer, the director and the performer, and you don’t have to run any ideas past anybody else ... but with things like Thank God You’re Here, you will not find a show that's more fun to do than that because it's a similar sort of thing.
