Thousands of dollars worth of medicines were stolen from a Shepparton pharmacy early on Valentine’s Day.
Police arrested a 30-year-old Shepparton man later on Friday, February 14, after he allegedly forced entry with a tool into the main doors of Chemist Warehouse at 127 Numurkah Rd in Shepparton’s north at around 5.30am, stealing $13,000 worth of pharmaceuticals.
The man was arrested in Shepparton’s south.
He was released on bail Friday afternoon, pending a court date in August.
Senior Constable Zac Clarke from Shepparton’s Crime Investigation Unit said the majority of the stolen goods had been recovered, while some had been burned in a backyard firepit.
