The numbers exceeded expectations, with more than 40 primary school aged children for the first clinic, and about 12 high school students at the second clinic.
The young golfers were given lessons under the guidance of golf professional Jody Fleming, with help from golf club members.
Fleming started with a focus on basics including the correct way to grip the club, and the right stance.
The budding golfers were given an opportunity to practise their driving, putting and chipping.
A primary aged clinic was followed by high school aged students, who also went through the basics, with some refining their game and others learning golf skills.
The club hopes to continue promoting golf for juniors, getting younger people both interested and involved in golf locally, and giving them another sporting option.
The clinics will continue this Friday, again hosting primary school aged children from 9am and high school age from 10.30am.
Cost is $10 per session and bookings can be made via the Deniliquin Golf Club website.
