After dropping successive games in Goulburn Valley Playing Area’s top division to Tallygaroopna and Kyabram, Park turned the corner with a clutch victory over Tatura-Hill Top on Saturday.
Requiring victory to ensure its spot in the top four, the Parkers stepped up to deny the Bulldogs passage into finals contention with a 16-80 to 2-68 triumph on home greens.
Each rink was hotly-contested — two were decided by a single shot — yet Paul Nichols’ quartet stormed home with a 25-18 win in the fourth set of ends to help see off the combine’s cavalry.

Meanwhile, Mooroopna came close to giving unbeaten Tallygaroopna an almighty scare.
The first versus seventh stoush was billed as a forgone conclusion, yet the Cats refused to bow down against a white-hot Redlegs unit.
Mooroopna took the first set of ends by a shot and the third by a margin of nine, but the eventual 2-2 rink split favoured Tallygaroopna as the visiting side eked out a 14-86 to 4-83 victory.
Kyabram resumed its surge up the ladder with its fourth win on the spin, upending East Shepparton 14-81 to 4-75 to cement its spot inside the four.
The Bombers suffered hefty losses in the opening two rinks, but opened fire in the last exchange as Greg Shilling skipped his four to a mammoth 32-13 result to whisk the win from under East’s noses.
Finally, Shepparton Golf put its foot on the throat of Euroa by order of a 16-96 to 2-57 triumph.
The Golfers won three out of four rinks, underscored by a John Gribble-skipped 39-5 beasting of Shane Drysdale’s rink.
