The Call to Create for the 2025 festival has been launched, inviting artists to share their visions of Shepparton.
Festival director Kristen Retallick said the competition provided a valuable opportunity to see Shepparton through a new set of eyes each year.
“Shepparton is a bit of an undiscovered gem in the heart of Victoria and this competition is a really valuable opportunity for artists to share the beauty, or the drama and challenges that they see in our region,” she said.
“The festival provides a great diversity of art, with something everyone could enjoy across the region.
“We are really excited to see what will be submitted to the Call to Create competition this year.”
The winning artist will be supported to put on a solo exhibition or event in the 2026 festival and the opportunity to work with the Shepparton Festival team to curate and plan the exhibition or event.
Artworks can be made in any medium, in any art form, and must express what you think of Shepparton or what the town could be.
Submissions will be exhibited as part of the 2025 Winter Shepparton Festival in August, with the winner announced at the Guide Launch on Friday, February 28, 2025.
