Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell has encouraged local organisations to express their interest in round nine of the grants program.
Grants ranging from $2500 to $20,000 are on offer for infrastructure projects that benefit local communities.
Mr Birrell said local organisations are the backbone of towns across his electorate.
“These cash injections will allow grassroots groups to go ahead with much-needed projects which will have lasting benefits to residents for generations to come,” he said.
Eligible groups include local government bodies, incorporated not-for-profit organisations, incorporated trustees responsible for community assets, and certain government agencies including fire services and state emergency services.
Projects can’t exceed $50,000 and need to be completed by December 31, 2025.
Grant funding will cover up to 100 per cent of eligible project costs, except for local governing bodies where it will cover up to 50 per cent.
For organisations who are interested, an expression of interest form can be found online at https://sambirrell.com.au/grants
The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday, February 14, with expressions of interest to be submitted to sam.birrell.mp@aph.gov.au
The expressions of interests will be assessed by an independent community panel, with successful applicants notified and formally invited to apply.
