The scholarships, which aim to support students dealing with adversities that are a hindrance to their studies, can be applied for up until January 31.
There are two scholarships available.
- The 2025 Community Bank Heathcote and Nagambie Bachelor Degree Scholarship Program
- The 2025 Community Bank Heathcote and Nagambie TAFE scholarship program
Marketing and local engagement manager for Heathcote and District Community Bank Charleen Warburton said the scholarships and grants offered were charitable by nature.
“Community Banks return up to 80 per cent of their profits back into their local communities in the form of grants, sponsorships and scholarships,” Ms Warburton said.
“Our board of directors is pleased to support applications from all groups in our local communities stretching from Seymour to Longwood, Avenel to Euroa and everywhere in between.”
Key selection criteria to be aware of when applying for the scholarships are: applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, must reside in or attend school in Heathcote, Nagambie and surrounding areas, and must demonstrate challenging circumstances that have an impact on their ability to undertake further study.
Applicants must also demonstrate that they have been accepted to study at a bachelor’s degree level, or have been admitted into a TAFE course, in an approved Australian course at an Australian university or TAFE.
These scholarships are to go towards any costs surrounding these courses, such as accommodation, study-related materials or equipment, education-related travel and/or course costs.
Submissions for the Heathcote and Nagambie 2025 CEF grants and 2025 Sponsorships are also now open, and will be closing on December 31.
