Set for Saturday afternoon, the cultural celebration Converge on the Goulburn will provide live music, movement, colour, art and food from all corners of the world.
There will be performances from Scott Darlow, One Spirit Africa, Bataola Son Cubano and more, with artists giving bite-sized performances of culturally traditional songs and dances, bringing the crowd along for the journey and celebration.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe encouraged everyone to come along to celebrate the diversity of the Shepparton community.
“Converge on the Goulburn is an all-inclusive event and there will definitely be something for everyone to enjoy,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to have our multicultural residents share their culture, traditions and food with the wider community and to learn more about and celebrate the many different cultures that reside within our region.
“Bring a chair and picnic rug and try some of our locals’ delicious traditional food and celebrate together as a community.”
Taking place at Victoria Park Lake, Shepparton, the free event will begin on Saturday at 4pm and run to 8pm.
