New Shepparton Anglican school receives $5m grant

Shepparton’s new Anglican school has received $5 million in funding for stage one of its build.

It’s part of $68 million spent by the Victorian Government on Catholic and independent schools across the state as part of round four of the 2019-23 non-government schools capital fund.

The fund supports projects such as building new schools and increasing capacity or upgrading facilities at existing schools.

The All Saints Anglican School will include a junior school and arts building, administration and senior school building, and a STEAM building comprising three specialist teaching rooms for science, hospitality and design and technology.

It is scheduled to open its doors for the 2024 school year.

Existing schools were able to apply for funding of up to $2 million to upgrade facilities or up to $3 million to expand capacity in areas of Victoria experiencing significant enrolment demand.

Grants of up to $5 million were also available to build new schools or new campuses.

State Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said the government was proud to put funding into education.

“Every Victorian student deserves access to good-quality school facilities, which is why we’re continuing our record investment in education infrastructure,” Mr Gepp said.
