Deniliquin has been abuzz with visitors, and on Wednesday they were ushering in the New Year with some sun and fun on the river at McLean Beach.

With temperatures reaching just over 30ºC, the beach was a popular place to be.
A pretty mild day with no real wind to note, local waterways were inundated with swimmers, skiers and recreational water users.
The town has provided a backdrop for plenty of travelling families over the holiday period for many years, coming from cities, towns from both sides of the Victoria and NSW border, and even further afield.
For some of the holidaying beach goers, Deniliquin has been their destination for many years.
There are families who have travelled to town these holidays with three generations of family members, and who have been coming here for well over 20 years.
Others were new visitors to the beautiful town that is our home, our amazing Edward River and the other great attractions we have available.
Whatever the reason for people returning, it is testament to the community, the beauty of our town and what we have to offer.
