The op shop was originally located on Moore St, then shifted into the old Saputo Milk Factory after the 2022 floods damaged the building beyond repair.
The club have been operating out of the factory for the past two years but will now relocate to the Senior Citizens Club rooms.
Senior Citizens Club member Leeanne Fullard said the club still had plans to rebuild a new op shop at its original location.
“We’ve been saving and getting grants to rebuild the op shop in Moore St,” she said.
“The flood damaged the building so badly that we couldn’t save it so we have been having ongoing conversations with the shire.
“Hopefully we can get it sorted out so we can go back there and stay there since it will be built above the new flood levels.”
The rebuild is estimated to take 18 months and will cost about $800,000.
The club will be funding the build through a variety of grants, savings and profits made through op shop sales.
In the meantime, the op shop will close for Christmas on Friday, December 20 and reopen on Monday, February 3 at the Senior Citizens Club rooms located on 60 Campaspe St.
More parking to the club rooms can be accessed through the laneway beside the Rochy Fitness Centre on Mackay Street.
