The weather beat us on Tuesday 3rd December, all District Midweek Pennant Rounds were cancelled.

Weekend Pennant December 7th, with three team wins and a loss.
Division A1 are on top of the ladder ahead of Rutherglen.
Division A4 are in second place behind North Albury.
Division B2 are also second behind Club Mulwala.
Division B3 are eighth.

Members are reminded that our Christmas celebrations will be held on Sunday the 15th at 1pm at the Wrong Bias Bar, numbers are needed for catering purposes.
Some of our men have been playing Bowls Victoria Regional events, and we congratulate Scott Widdison and Stuart McNeill who have been selected as part of the representative Ovens and Murray team.
Scott and Stuart will play in Ballarat from January 10th - 12 th, 2025.
Our club events are progressing slowly as members have been involved in district events.
Some matches are scheduled this week on Wednesday, December 11.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
On Saturday night our Christmas Get Together and Dinner was held at Civic’s Club House.
After all teams playing Pennant in very humid conditions, it was great to mix in the cool rooms.
A big thank you to the catering committee and their helpers who brought along beautiful salads to be shared by all, together with the meats. This was followed by the lovely sweets that were available.
During the evening the raffle was drawn with many great prizes for the lucky winners. Thank you to the Board for organising a great night.
Midweek Pennant – Round 8
Due to the very wet day all pennant was called off for this round. This week’s games will be A1 at home to play Wangaratta, B2 side 1 also at home against Yarrawonga and B2 side 2 are away to Corowa RSL.
The ladders at present are A1 are sitting in 7 th position, B2 side 1 are in 8 th position and B2 side 2 are in 5 th position.
Weekend Pennant - Round 9
A2 travelled to Lavington and lost by 12 shots, B2 were home to Yarrawonga and had a good win by 20 shots and B3 played their game at Wodonga and had a draw.

Saturday’s Round 10 will be last game before Christmas, A2 are home to Moira, B2 will travel to Moira and B3 will be home to North Albury.
There will be social games played on a Wednesday and Saturday over the Christmas break. Add your name to the sheet at the back gate or leave a message on the club house phone.
The first round of the Men’s and Ladies triples will be played on Sunday.
Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
On Sunday, our winners with a draw and a win of 10 and 16 (26) were Ellen Buckley, Chris Hendry, Betty Clancy, and Gloria McCluskey. With the runners-up on a win and a loss of 16 and 4 (20) being Kerry Whalley, Merylyn Milthorpe, Angela Clapton, and Georgie Agnew.
Tuesday’s winners on 16 and 15 (31) were Dawn Sander, Merylyn Milthorpe, and Betty Clancy. With the runners-up on 10 and 16 (26) being the team of Wendy Dunbar, Joe Carnivale, and Gwen Mills.
And Thursday’s winners on 17 and 16 (33) were Wendy Dunbar, Devon, Glenda Willett, and Anne Smith. With the runners-up on 17 and 15 (32) being the team of Gloria McCluskey, Chris Hendry, Helen Bartel, and Georgie Agnew.
