The round eight clash will be a chance for the Rhinos to show their improvement across the season.
Originally a two-day fixture, last week’s conditions saw it changed to a one day game.
Deni have an opportunity to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the competition after a six wicket win against ladder-leaders Cobram in round seven.
Playing the fifth, sixth and seventh position teams in Tocumwal, Berrigan and Barooga in consecutive weeks before the break gives the third placed Rhinos a chance to create a gap between themselves and the bottom four teams before the two-day games start.
Tocumwal have been close in several games this year, but have only registered wins against Barooga and Finley.
In the previous one-day fixture earlier in round five this season, the Deni Rhinos won by seven wickets with Matt Taylor and Brodie Bennett taking three wickets each for Deni while Tocumwal vice captain Andrew Lean top-scored for the Bloods with 24.
With the bat, Griegan French top-scored with 40 for the Rhinos in the successful run-chase, reaching the required 96 in the 28th over while Lean once again took a leading role for Tocumwal taking two wickets.
Tocumwal will be looking to show they’ve improved since the teams’ last meeting, while the Rhinos will hope for a similar result.
In C-grade, the Rhinos are set to play Katamatite in Strathmerton.
The team will be looking to bounce back strongly from their first loss in two seasons.
Katamatite sit on the bottom of the C-grade ladder with one win after four completed games, while the Rhinos have three wins after also having played four matches.
There are also only two more weeks in junior cricket before the break, with the under-15s playing a two-day match against Nathalia at Memorial Park tomorrow and next week before the break.
Today the under-13s Rhinos White play Katunga at Finley while the under-13s Rhinos Red are at home against Cobram.
The two Rhinos teams will then face-off at Memorial Park in the final game for 2024 next weekend, with both teams currently sitting at the top of the ladder.
