Pat Doyle, Dave Kane, Bob Flanagan, John Hyland and Phil Porot took a break from their volunteering work at the Woodworkers Shed around the corner and set up their chairs, tables, eskies and rods on the regularly flooded Duffield Street ‘lagoon’.
The local crew joked saying; “it’s the best fishing hole in Yarrawonga since 1982”.
With over 100mm of rain falling over the last eight days in Yarrawonga the small Yarrawonga street has once again been under water the entire time.
The Woodworkers are hoping Moira Shire Council can fix the drainage problem once and for all.
